You will visit spice plantations where you will see, smell, taste and purchase aromatic spices. Zanzibar abounds with historical sites where you will learn about the events that shaped the history of Zanzibar a few centuries ago when it was a mighty trading center; the historicals sites include ancient palaces, slave chambers, old forts, craft shops, and museums.
You will also get to interact with the local people of Zanzibar and will get a glimpse of their culture and way of life.

Upon arrival at Zanzibar airport or harbour, you will be met by our guide who will drive you to your hotel in Stone Town for dinner and overnight accommodation.
After breakfast in your hotel at Stone Town, you will go for a walk through the historical Stone Town; here you will see House of Wonders (Beit al ajaib), the Palace Museum(People’s Palace), the Arab Fort and the Slave Chambers. These historical attractions will teach you about the events that shaped the history of Zanzibar over the course of several centuries. Stone Town is a maze-like town; you will get to walk the winding alleys just like the inhabitants and rulers of Zanzibar did centuries ago. At Stone Town, time seems to have stood still for a few centuries.
In the afternoon, you will sail to Prison Island; the island was meant to be a prison for slaves but it was later turned into a quarantine for sailors and traders suffering from serious ailments from the East African interior. The main attractions on the island are old and friendly giant tortoises as well as a historical slave museum.
Late in the evening, you will head out to Forodhani Gardens where you will experience seafood the Zanzibari style. Dinner and overnight accommodation at your hotel in Stone Town.
On this day you will be driven from Stone Town to a local owned spice farm where you will experience the aromatic spices of Zanzibar. You will see, smell, taste and buy the spices that caused ships from different parts of the world to dock at Zanzibar ready to export the aromatic goodies to markets in foreign lands.
You will learn about the spices and ways in which they are used in traditional medicines and local Zanzibari cuisine. Most of the spice plants that dominate Zanzibar today, were introduced from foreign lands by the Oman Arabs who were rulers and lords over Zanzibar for hundreds of years.
Today lunch will be served in the spice farm; the farm owner will treat you to local Zanzibar delicacies made from local ingredients. You will enjoy the spices and fruits grown on the farm. In the afternoon, you will be driven to Nungwi beach where the rest of the day will be spent at leisure on the beach.

This day will be spent relaxing at the beach after days of traveling to Zanzibar and excursions around Stone Town and Prison Island. Relax, refresh and rejuvenate before heading out for a serious of similarly exciting excursions.

Today half of the day will be spent on a dolphin tour at Kizimkazi village which is on the southern tip of the island. Bottle-nosed and humpback dolphins can be found in large numbers at Kizimkazi; here you can swim very close to these amazing peaceful sea creatures. A dolphin tour at Kizimkazi is a truly rewarding experience.
Late in the afternoon, you will be driven back to Nungwi beach where the remainder of the day will be spent at leisure on the beach.

After breakfast, you will head out for a tour inside Jozani Forest which is the last remaining sanctuary of the Red Colobus Monkeys. You will stroll inside the forest with a local guide where you will get a chance to watch the Red Colobus Monkeys in their last wild sanctuary. At Jozani, will also visit the Mangrove swamps and walk around the Mangrove forests.
Jozani Forest has an excellent nature trail that takes you through impressive plants and animals; this tour is definitely one of the highlights of a Zanzibar tour.
On this cultural tour, you will head from your beach hotel to the villages of Kizimkazi, nungwi, Paje or Jambiani; you will meet the locals and have the opportunity to see how they engage in their daily economic and social activities. You see the intermingled Afro-Asian culture and traditions of the Island.
In the fishing villages, local women seaweeds and search for oyster-shells; while men engage in deep sea fishing and selling what they gained from the sea. If you visit the villages on a Friday, you will most likely get the opportunity to see a traditional wedding ceremony (they are mostly done on Fridays).
On this day get to interact with the local people of Zanzibar and will also get a glimpse of their culture and ways of life.
These two days will be spent relaxing at the beach; relax, refresh and rejuvenate for the two days before heading back home. You can also complement the days by engaging in a number of water sports demanding on your personal preferences. Watersports available at your disposal include diving, snorkeling, paragliding, jet skiing and beach volleyball. Late in the evenings relax and enjoy the magnificent sunsets as the sun sets across the turquoise tropical ocean.
On this day you will be transferred to Zanzibar Airport for your departure flight back home or for a connecting flight to the Tanzanian mainland.
