Serengeti is a land of extensive rolling plains, strange rock formations and magnificent sunsets; it is a serene savannah teaming with an abundance of wildlife. Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unflooded caldera in the world and it is home to a huge variety of African wild animals; here, more than any other place in Africa, you are most likely to see the big five within a few hours of game viewing.
Lake Manyara national park is a place of large flamingo flocks, lions that dare to climb trees and a beautiful soda lake – all nestled within the walls of the Great Rift Valley. At Tarangire National Park, giants dominate the land; here large herds of elephants roam freely under giant ancient baobab trees.

The areas you will visit inside the Serengeti will depend on the location of the great herds.
