On this tour, you will the white sandy beaches of Zanzibar and the blue turquoise ocean that makes Zanzibar a tropical paradise. You will see smell and taste the aromatic spices that have earned Zanzibar the name “Spice Islands”.
You will also learn about the historical events that shaped the history of Zanzibar and the East African coast for centuries; you will experience this rich history by visiting historical attractions such as ancient palaces, slave chambers, old forts, craft shops, and museums. You will also experience the local Zanzibari culture up-close as you go about your tour in Zanzibar.

As you arrive at Zanzibar airport or harbour, you will be met by our guide who will drive you to your hotel in Stone Town for dinner and overnight accommodation.
After breakfast in your hotel, you will head to the historical Stone Town where you will learn about the events that made Zanzibar a place of great historical significance. You will see the House of Wonders (Beit al ajaib), the Palace Museum(People’s Palace), the Arab Fort and the Slave Chambers amongst many other attractions. You will see and walk winding alleys as they did many years ago when Zanzibar was a mighty trading power.
In the afternoon, you will sail to Prison Island; the island was meant to be a prison for slaves but it was later turned into a quarantine for sailors and traders suffering from serious ailments from the East African interior. The main attractions on the island are old and friendly giant tortoises as well as a historical slave museum.
At the end of the day you will head out to Forodhani Gardens where excellent cooked Zanzibari seafood is served; here you will experience Zanzibar’s nightlife. Dinner and overnight accommodation at your hotel in Stone Town.
On this day you will visit a spice farm where you will see, smell and taste the spices that have earned Zanzibar the name “Spicy Islands”. You will learn about the spices and their use in traditional medicine and cooking. Zanzibar has over forty aromatic spicy plants that were introduced to the island by the Oman Arabs over two hundred years ago.
Lunch will be served in the spice farm where you will get a chance to taste the spices and fruits grown in the farm. Later in the afternoon, you will head out to Nungwi beach where the rest of the day will be spent at leisure on the beach.

You will spend this two days relaxing at the beach. You will enjoy swimming and water sports such as diving, snorkeling, paragliding, jet skiing and beach volleyball. The days are complemented by beautiful sunsets in the evening as the sun sets over the ocean.
On one of these days, you can also arrange to go out for a Dolphin Tour in Kizimkazi village which is on the southern tip of the island. Kizimkazi village is home to schools of bottle-nosed and Humpback dolphins and here you may be able to swim very close to these beautiful creatures; this is a very rewarding experience.

After breakfast, you will head out for a tour inside Jozani Forest which is the last remaining sanctuary of the Red Colobus Monkeys. You will stroll inside the forest with a local guide where you will get a chance to watch the Red Colobus Monkeys in their last wild sanctuary. At Jozani, will also visit the Mangrove swamps and walk around the Mangrove forests.
Jozani Forest has an excellent nature trail that takes you through impressive plants and animals; this tour is definitely one of the highlights of a Zanzibar tour.
Enjoy breakfast at your beach hotel and then depending on when your flight out of Zanzibar leaves, you may enjoy an early morning at the beach before our guide transfers you to Zanzibar Airport for your departure flight back home or to the Tanzanian mainland.
