14 Days Serengeti, Kilimanjaro & Zanzibar

On this day you will arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport where you will be met by our guide who will drive you to your hotel in Arusha.

From the second to the seventh day(inclusive), you will climb and descend Mount Kilimanjaro on your preferred route; the route options for this tour package are Machame Route, Rongai Route, and Umbwe Route. You will do the six days version of whichever of the three routes you select; please follow the links in the tour details above to see the detailed climbing itineraries for each of the routes before making a selection.

On the final day of descent from the mountain(the seventh day), our driver will meet you at the mountain gate from where he will drive you to your hotel in Arusha; the remainder of the day will be spent relaxing in preparation for the next day when you will start your Northern Tanzania Safari

After breakfast, you will be driven to Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport from where you will fly on a light aircraft to Serengeti National Park. On arrival in Serengeti, you will be met by our guide who will take you out for an afternoon of game viewing.

This day will be spent doing game drives in the Serengeti; today you see Africa’s top predators and big game. You will see zebras, giraffes, elephants, hippos and the great herds of wildebeests and zebras. Africa’s top predators will also be seen on this day; you will see lions, leopards, hyenas, and cheetahs.

Today you will be transferred to Seronera Airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar; on your way to the airstrip, you will enjoy your final game viewing.

On arrival in Zanzibar, our guide will drive you to your hotel in Stone Town. Late in the afternoon, you will head out for a tour of Prison Island; here you will see giant turtles and you will also visit a slave museum.

In the evening, you will head out for local Zanzibari seafood at Forodhani Gardens; here seafood is prepared from the catch of the day and is sold to locals and tourists.

After breakfast, you will head out to the historical Stone Town; here you will see historical buildings and places such as he House of Wonders (Beit al ajaib), the Palace Museum(People’s Palace), the Arab Fort and the Slave Chambers amongst many other attractions. You will also see and walk on ancient winding alleyways as they were walked upon by the inhabitants of the city hundreds of years ago.

In the afternoon, you will be driven to Nungwi beach where the rest of the day will be spent at leisure on the beach.

This day will be spent relaxing and swimming at the beach after many days of travel and hiking; if you feel energetic, you can add in a number of water sports to your beach routine. Depending on your preferences, you can engage in diving, snorkeling, paragliding, jet skiing and beach volleyball. The restful day will come to a beautiful end as you watch a spectacular sunset as the African sun sets across the Indian ocean.

In the morning, you will choose between going on a spice tour or going for a swim with the Dolphins; in the afternoon, you will be driven back to Nungwi Beach to spend the remainder of the day relaxing on the beach.

Spice Tour

If you opt for a spice tour, you will be driven from Stone Town to a spice farm where learn how spices are grown and used in traditional medicines and local cuisine; you will also see, smell and taste the aromatic spices.

Lunch will be served in the spice farm; you will be presented with local culinary delights made using the spices and fruits grown in the spice farm. Late in the afternoon, you will be driven to the white sandy beaches of Nungwi where the remainder of the day will be spent relaxing on the beach.

Dolphin Tours

If you opt for a spice tour, you will be driven to Kizimkazi village on the southern tip of the Zanzibar archipelago. At this village, you swim very close to bottlenose and humpback dolphins in the ocean. Late in the afternoon, you will be driven to the white sandy beaches of Nungwi where the remainder of the day will be spent relaxing on the beach.

On this day we will drive you to Zanzibar Airport for your departure flight back home.
